The main goals that the AKB Associates focused on were to implement evidence based design throughout the entirety of the project. Patient comfort was an important aspect to focus on for a post-partum department. The color scheme was carefully selected to enhance the comfortability of families. Wayfinding was incorporated throughout the design to create an ease of navigation through the department.
